Notary Commission Qualifications
Applicants must:
• be at least 18 years old;
• be a resident of Idaho or employed in the state of Idaho;
• not have had a notary commission revoked for misconduct or have been convicted of a serious crime within 10 years of the date applying;
• be able to read and write the English language.
→Any notary applicant employed by a State of Idaho agency that is acquiring a notary commission for their employment should obtain their application and bond from the Bureau of Risk Management by calling (800) 531-0597.
