Arkansas Notary Public Requirements and Information

Arkansas Notary Commission Qualifications
Notary applicants must:
• be at least 18 years old;
• be a legal resident of Arkansas or resident of an adjoining state that is regularly employed in Arkansas;
• be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien;
• be able to read and write English; and
• not have been convicted of a felony;
• not have had a notary commission revoked in the past 10 years;
• review Arkansas notary law and understand the duties of a notary public.
