Kentucky Notary Public Requirements

Kentucky Notary Commission Qualifications
Notary applicants must:
• be at least 18 years old;
• be a resident of the state of Kentucky who lives or is employed within the county where applying (for a State at Large commission); or
• be a non-resident of the state of Kentucky that is employed in the county where applying (for a Special commission);
• be of good moral character and capable of discharging the duties of a notary public.
