Wyoming Notary Requirements and Information

Wyoming Notary Commission Qualifications
Notary applicants must:
• be at least 18 years old;
• be a resident of the state of Wyoming and the county in which applying;
• be able to read and write English;
• not have been convicted of a felony. If convicted the felony must be reversed or annulled, pardoned or he/she must have had their civil rights restored.

Ink stamp or embossing seal required, paper notarial acts. Must be photographically reproducible.

Authorized Duties
• Administer oaths/affirmations;
• execute jurats;
• take acknowledgments;
• take verifications upon an oath or affirmation;
• witness or attest signatures;
• certify or attest copies;
• note protests of negotiable instruments.
